Draft Rewind 2011 – Jurrell Casey – Tennessee Titans

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about JURRELL CASEY: Southern Cal, 6005 300 5.10. Junior entry. Two-year starter. Played the same position for the Trojans as Shaun Cody and Sedric Ellis – the three technique (shades guard outside shoulder) in the four man front. Productive, quick, high effort competitor. Doesn’t stay blocked. Gets his hands up in the rush lanes. Similar to Drake Nevis – gets hung up at times on his arm over move because of his height. Quick first step. Can play the cocked nose position. Quick shed to locate the ball. Comes off the ball with a low pad level. Rarely gets cut off. Quick to find the ball. Has a burst to the quarterback once he sheds his blocker. Thrusts his body into the ball carrier. Explosive hitter. Plays with good footwork to gain leverage. Intense and physical in his play. Quick to diagnose play after controlling opponent. Quick reactions. Strong at the point of attack. More of a one gap penetrator than a two gap player. Thick torso. Can stack a double team. 2010 stats: 67 tackles, 11 TFL, 4 1/2 sacks, 1 FF,  2 PBU. Edge speed:left 2.04, right 2.08. OSR:21/25. Second/third round. (A-32, H-8 7/8, BP-26, 10-1.78).
