Draft Rewind 2012 – Ryan Broyles – Detroit Lions

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about RYAN BROYLES: Oklahoma, 5101 192 4.52. Four-year starter who concluded his career with 349 catches good for 4586 yards and 45 touchdowns. He has been productive as a receiver and punt returner since he arrived on campus. What he lacks in size he makes up for with quickness and elusiveness. Has been the feature receiver in OU’s spread passing attack, catching passes from Sam Bradford and Landry Jones. A natural hand catcher with good ball skills. Quick feet to avoid bump coverage and has a burst to get upfield and separate. Sudden in and out of his break. Can adjust to a poorly thrown ball but needs to secure the ball better after the catch. May be hindered on inside routes on the next level because of his lack of size. Knows how to separate. Can pluck the ball. Great feel for the slot. He has good body control and the ability to catch the ball where it’s at – high, low, behind. Missed final four games with a torn left ACL. A playmaker who has a chance to be a slot receiver and return specialist on Sundays. 2011 stats: 83-1157 yds, 13.9 ypr, 10 TDs. Career stats: 349-4586 yds, 13.1 ypr, 45 TDs. Did not work out at the Combine due to knee surgery. Fourth/fifth round. (A-30 1/4, H-9, VJ-DNP, SS-DNP).
