Draft Rewind 2012 – Alshon Jeffery – Chicago Bears

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about ALSHON JEFFERY: South Carolina, 6027 216 4.47. Junior entry. Three-year starter who went through inconsistent quarterback problems in 2011. Was a mature and team player, not whining about getting the ball more. Aligns as an X, Z, and slot receiver. Drew double coverage most of his career. Possesses a big frame and long arms. Can make all catches high and low. Good hands to pluck the ball. Snatches bubble screens and gets quickly up the field. Adjusts well to the ball in flight. Natural receiving skills. Plays like a power forward at times gaining position then out-jumping defender for the ball. Can also work back to the ball. Runs all the spread hitches, slants, digs, verticals. Rounds off the patterns but can improve in this area. Has power and some quickness to make people miss. Must get off press with strength and power then get into his route. Good downfield blocker. Positions and walls off corner support. Lost 20 pounds before the Combine. 2010 stats: 88-1517 yds, 17.2 ypr, 9 TDs. 2011 stats: 49-762 yds, 15.6 ypr, 8 TDs. Did not work out at the Combine. Second round. (A-33, H-10 1/4, VJ-DNP, SS-DNP).
