Draft Rewind 2013 – Lane Johnson – Philadelphia Eagles

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about LANE JOHNSON: Oklahoma, 6062 302 4.72. Two-year starter with long arms and unique athletic ability. Right tackle as a junior and moved to the left side as a senior. Physical player who was a former high school and junior college quarterback. Played tight end and defensive end for the Sooners before moving over to the offensive line. Aggressive and focused in his play. Solid Senior Bowl week where he demonstrated his left tackle foot quickness. Can bend and play in a football position. Flashes the ability to quick set with body suddenness. Change of direction and redirect with natural body control. Demonstrates attitude and aggression to engage initial contact with base, balance, and knee bend. Stays square to shadow a pass rusher up the field. Easy light feet. Still a work in progress. He can use more upper and lower body strength to stone a bull rush. Would like to see him sustain his blocks longer. Talent to contribute early. A first year starter with minimal developmental time. OSR:1/49. First round. (A-35 1/4, H-10 1/8, BP-28, 10-1.69).
