Indianapolis Signs Andre Johnson

What?

WR Andre Johnson SIGNED by Indianapolis

 Why?

There is plenty left in the tank for Johnson, a former consensus top 5 WR in the league. Johnson has been dealing with poor QB play for years now.  He will fill the void left by the retired Reggie Wayne, another savvy veteran receiver that Andrew Luck got the most out of.  Johnson is a great locker room presence that will put forth his best efforts on a weekly basis.  He gives Luck another big target in addition to second year pass catcher Donte Moncrief to go with emerging star TY Hilton.  This offense has so many options and the perfect signal caller directing the ship.

 What’s Next?

The Colts are near Super Bowl contention and the know it.  The roster moves have all been geared towards adding a solid, established veteran presence to a team that needed more reliable play and leadership.  Their holes on defense still need to be filled and their line could use more depth, as I think they will look to do both early in the draft.
