Draft Rewind 2012 – Dwayne Allen – Indianapolis Colts

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about DWAYNE ALLEN: Clemson, 6031 255 4.85.  Junior entry. Two-and-a-half year starter. An athletic tight end who plays faster than his forty time. Linebackers can’t cover him. Has the strength to drag tacklers after catch. Will lay out for a bad low ball throw. Occupies the corner support in the run game. Used a lot in the misdirection of the Tiger offense. Can adjust and block on the move. Lines up anywhere – tight end, wide receiver, fullback, slot. A lead blocker like a pulling guard. A well built and muscled up prospect who takes advantage of his long arms when blocking. Has some power and strength after catching the ball. Not easy to bring down. Can muscle his way into the end zone. Good play strength as a receiver and blocker. Physical with functional strength. Flashes explosiveness. Good effort and angles on downfield blocks. No hold up on his release. Can escape at the line of scrimmage with quickness, feet, and arm over release. He doesn’t get knocked off his route. Good body control blocking and catching the ball. Can separate from a linebacker with his route running and quickness. Has been durable over his career. 2011 stats: 50-598 yds, 12.0 ypr, 8 TDs. OSR:8/12. Second/third round. (A-33, H-9 5/8, BP-27, VJ-32).
