Draft Rewind 2009 – Matt Slauson – New York Jets

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about MATT SLAUSON: Nebraska, 6047 316 5.25. Three-year starter. Wide bodied zone blocking guard. Physical player that plays square. Good lateral quickness. Not always pretty, but is effective. Fundamentally sound. Sits down and locks out in pass protection. Aggressive. Good punch and control. Has the ability to move his feet and perform various techniques required of an offensive lineman. Has size and some pro skills. Versatile over career playing both tackle positions and right guard. Could be plugged in anywhere but center. Did not lift or run at Combine due to pectoral injury and right hamstring strain. Lift was for pro day on 3/12/09. Seventh round.  (A-33 1/8, H-10 1/2, BP-23, 10-1.77).
