Draft Rewind 2012 – Amini Silatolu – Carolina Panthers

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about AMINI SILATOLU: Midwestern State, 6035 311 5.33. Two-year starter. Junior college transfer from San Joaquin Delta College where he played left tackle. Projects inside to guard. Struggled in space at times, but his aggressiveness and physical play make him a natural at guard. Dominates players at his level of competition. Can bend and anchor. A better than average athlete who has some very interesting tools to develop. Will need pro physical and mental development in every facet of his game. Has never played against the strength and speed he will see on the next level. Played the last two years from a two-point stance. Will need to improve his technique in the run game, pulling, and trapping downfield, second level angles and adjustments, pass protection, and his use of hands and hand placement. Will need repetition to learn playbook. Question why he didn’t compete in any all-star games. OSR:25/48. Fourth/fifth round. (A-33, H-10 1/8, BP-28, 10-1.84).
