Draft Rewind 2007 – Uche Nwaneri – Jacksonville Jaguars

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about UCHE NWANERI: Purdue, 6031 325 5.44. Two-year starter. Long arms and big hands – two very positive traits to help in pass protection and run blocking. Athletically graded out 23rd of 43 offensive linemen at the Combine. Naturally strong and can hold his own when bull rushed. Pulls and runs aggressively. Shows good initial contact, but doesn’t always sustain. Good initial strong two arm extension in pass protection. Maintains balance when sliding with man. Keeps his feet and steers and turns defensive tackle. Can be an effective one-on-one blocker. Plays with a good base. Aggressive and physical in run blocking. Plays high at times and loses his knee bend. Plays guard in a pass oriented offense. Will need to improve his run blocking technique. He is a wall off position/blocker in spread offense. May be a draft sleeper. Fifth/sixth round. (A-34 1/8, H-10, BP-24, 10-1.85).
