Draft Rewind 2008 – Harry Douglas – Atlanta Falcons

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about HARRY DOUGLAS: Louisville, 5112 176 4.54. Two-and-a-half year starter. A vertical threat that plays in the slot. Routes are better in 2007. Short area quickness. Slender build. Can be banged around and rerouted. Not a blocker. Gets run over. Durability will always be a concern. Gets mismatches in the slot against linebacker and safeties or a nickel corner. Sudden off the ball. No hold up. Uses his quick feet to elude corner. Good field awareness. Understands the passing game. Patterns are somewhat raw in medium and short zones. Needs to be sharper to separate quickly. Protects the ball in the short zones with body catches. Will compete for the ball in a crowd. Will have to wait on the deep ball at times. Flashes the ability to beat the first tackler after a catch. A good athlete that will compete. An instinctive player with good smarts. Returns punts and kickoffs, but is not special. Pest type blocker. Has the frame to gain muscle, but it may slow him down. Question whether he can carry his pads. OSR:13/52. Fourth/fifth round. (A-32 1/4, H-8 1/4, SS-4.12, VJ-31).
