DWTS Champion, Rashad Jennings – 2009 Scouting Report

Rashad Jennings on Dancing with the Stars (DWTS)
Jennings was selected by Jacksonville in the 7th round of the 2009 draft. He played 7 years with Jacksonville (3), Oakland (1) New York Giants(3) and started 54 of 93 games. Career totals 3772 yards, 23 TDs, 4.1 yds per carry. He caught 191 passes, 1469 yards, 7.7 yards per reception. His career totals provide proof that the new “Dancing With The Stars Champion” was more of a third round choice than a 7th round selection.

Ourlad’s 2009 Scouting Report on Jennings:

Jennings, Rashad | Liberty | 6010 | 231 | 4.60

Four-year starter including his freshman year at the University of Pittsburgh. Straight ahead pick type runner. Tackle to tackle power that has the ability to burst through the creases. Strong leg drive. More power than shake and bake. Catches the ball in his hands on swing routes and check downs. Big hands for position. Two time Big South offensive player of the year. Will run upright at times, but generally runs with a lower pad level. Breaks tackles with strength and power. Impressive build at the Senior Bowl, muscled up and well defined. Demonstrates burst and quickness for a big man. Outstanding athlete that presses the hole when he runs the ball. Durable. Running talent is between the tackles more so than outside. Good instincts and feel for running the ball. First step quickness to the hole. Accelerates through the seam. Aggressive short yardage runs. Runs with power and desire. Will need work on blocking, but is willing. OSR:4/29. (Jennings rated 4th athletically of the 29 running backs that worked out at the Combine.) Third /fourth round. (A-32, H-10 3/8, BP-29, SS-4.20).
