Tydreke Powell, DT, North Carolina – 6020 311 5.36 Two-year starter and team captain. A 4-3 type tackle who is a fringe athlete but gives a good effort. Flashes first step quickness to penetrate gaps. Gets stuck on the line of scrimmage if he doesn’t win on the first move. Has a tendency to stop his feet when pushing the pocket, especially when he loses his knee bend. Needs to elevate his consistency in his overall game. At times he plays with a power base to anchor against the run. Big strong hands with the ability to disengage blocker and find the ball. A 20-play a game rotational player who upgrades quality of depth. Produces with limitations. 2011 stats: 46 tackles, 4.5 TFL, 1 sack, 5 PD. Edge speed:left 2.20, right 2.23. OSR:23/ 27. Quentin Saulsberry, OC, Mississippi State – 6023 304 5.28 Four-year starter with experience at right tackle as well as left and right guard. Plays with a good power base and quick feet. Played left and right guard interchangeably in 2010. Good initial move. Can adjust on the run. Takes a good inside out approach on kick out blocks. Lead blocker on base counter running plays for the Bulldogs. Equally efficient on log or kick out blocks. Explodes on target. Works to finish. Good lateral agility and quickness on cut off blocks. A physical knee bender with good leg drive. Uses his hands to lock up and control defender. Plays in a leverage football position. Good effort on second level blocks. Stays balanced with good knee bend, change of direction, and body control. Started the 2011 season at center before teammate’s injury shifted him to right guard. Effective to take good angles to the second level and cut off the pursuit. Locks on the defender and gets movement. Plays on his feet. Plays with leverage where he gets under the pass rusher and can stop a bull rush. Was a war dog in the LSU game. Gave Michael Brockers #90 all he could handle on down blocks and zone reach blocks. Competitive and smart in his play. Can recover if he gets beat off on the snap. Possibly the best inside puller in the 2012 Draft. Uses quickness and acceleration as he adjusts on the move. Can turn up and seal inside. Good contact and follow through. Good impact at the point of attack. OSR:48/48. Fifth/ sixth round. (A-33 3/4, H-9 7/8, BP-26, 10-1.85).
