2012 NFL Undrafted Free Agents – NFC East – NY Giants

Janzen Jackson, S, McNeese State – 5114 188 4.64 Junior entry. Began his career at Tennessee where he started for two years. He had numerous off field indiscretions and was asked to leave. He started at free safety before he moved to corner. He flashes good, not great, talent ranking 23rd out of 35 corners athletically at the Combine. He will flash man cover skills, range, hitting ability, and closing quickness, but he is inconsistent in critical factors and position specifics for the corner or safety rotation. Started 3 of 9 games his one year at McNeese. High maintenance player who lacks overall body strength. Struggles in his backpedal due to his long legs. Developmental player. Has several red flags that need to be cleared up. 2011 stats: 29 tackles, 3 PBU, 2 INTs, 1 FF. BTR:left 4.38, right 4.66. OSR:23/35. Seventh round/PFA. (A-31, H-9 3/8, VJ-36.5, SS-4.15).
