Delano Howell, S, Stanford – 5107 210 4.61 Three-year starter. Compact built, strong safety who is a downhill big hitting run support player. Takes good angles. Quick to read and react to run or pass. Has the talent to run with backs and tight ends in man to man coverage. Moved from running back after the 2009 season. A good athlete with quick feet. Good change of direction. Breaks down with good body control to wrap tackle. Missed three games with a hand injury. Will contribute on special teams’ coverage. 2011 stats: 52 tackles, 8 PBU, 1 FF, 1 FR. BTR:left 4.75, right 4.99. OSR:10/20. Seventh round/PFA. (A-31 1/4, H-9 1/4, VJ-33, SS-4.15).

Shawn Powell, P, Florida State – 6036 248 5.06 Three-year starter who averaged 44.2 yards on 168 punts over his career. Placed 56 punts inside the 20-yard line. Never had a punt blocked. A big man with a strong leg. Long arms 33″. Experience holding for placement kicks. Three-step punter who is smart with the ability to adjust and adjust to pressure situations. Mentally tough. Consistently kicks over 45 yards with a 4.4+ hang time average. Gets the ball off in less than 1.25 seconds, 1.2 or less under pressure. Can directionally place punts. 2011 stats: 57 punts, 47.04 avg. He netted 42 yards per punt. Sixth/seventh round.
