2012 NFL Undrafted Free Agents – AFC South – Jacksonville Jaguars

Mike Brewster, OC, Ohio State – 6041 312 5.31 Four-year starter who snaps shotgun and conventional. Shorter arms than ideal to lock out on a defender. Plays square with a good base and is strong working the combo block to the second level, but will take bad angles on moving target at times. Quick first step where he locks out and grabs cloth. Consistent and quick shotgun snaps. Struggles with anchor and balance at times. More of a pusher than a popper. But he is competitive and scrappy. Understands his job as a center. Can drive block and redirect to pick up a spin move. Plays square with a good base in pass protection. Question anchor and lower body strength at times. He makes the line calls by identifying the defense and communicates it. Mobile enough to kick out block on the tight end screen. Very good initially but would like to see him sustain and finish his blocks more consistently. Intense and focused. OSR:31/ 48. Third/fourth round. (A-31 1/2, H-9 1/2, BP-29, 10-1.80).
