Draft Rewind 2012 – Bobby Massie – Arizona Cardinals

What Ourlads’ NFL Scouting Services said about Bobby Massie: Mississippi, 6061 316 5.18 Junior entry. Two-and-a-half year starter. A good athlete with long arms. Plays right tackle. Sets with a good base, punch, and drop in pass protection. Good feet and balance. Good change of direction with natural body control. Plays with good natural knee bend. Shadows the rusher up the field past the quarterback. Effective hand placement to control defender. Good foot and body quickness to gain an advantage. Has light feet and finish ability. Can cut off the inside with good lateral agility. Will seal defender’s pursuit away from the play. Strong on down blocks and any block inside where he has the angle. Will overextend in the running game at times. Leaks through to second level but is inconsistent at blocking linebackers. Possesses all the natural athletic tools to play on Sunday, but we question his focus and intensity. Needs to get more upper and lower body strength. Has the talent to upgrade a ‘stop gap’ starter. OSR:15/48. Second/third round. (A-35, H-9, BP-22, 10-1.82).
