Draft Rewind 2010 – Brandon Deaderick – New England Patriots

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about BRANDON DEADERICK: Alabama, 6040 314 5.35. Three-year starter. Versatile defensive tackle in a four man front or an end in a 3-4 scheme. Plays hard and with good effort. Long arms. Physical in the run game. Has the size and ability to two gap. Good interior instincts. Can diagnose play after controlling opponent. Finds the ball. Flashes ability to use hands effectively to punch and control the blocker. Plays hard from snap to completion of play. Takes good angles in pursuit. Stays square to the line of scrimmage. Gets through traffic with a sense of purpose and urgency. Can hold the point on plays at times. Good base and stout inline play strength. More of a run stuffer than a pass rusher at this point. A mid round draft choice that should contribute once his shoulder is healed. Had 83 career tackles, 15 for loss, and 7 sacks. Did not work out at the Combine because of left shoulder surgery. Fourth/fifth round. (A-34 3/8, H-9 3/8, BP-DNP, 10-DNP).
