Draft Rewind 2006 – Brodrick Bunkley – New Orleans Saints

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about BRODRICK BUNKLEY: Florida State, 6026 306 4.91.  Two-year starter. A high energy competitor that has some power. A penetrator that can make plays. An under-tackle type, one-gap player. Can split a double team. Hustles downfield in pursuit. Long arms and a sudden first step. Can anchor and hold his ground. Must protect his legs better. Teams love cutting him. Despite size at 306, he can get push on the center and two-gap. He fits as an under tackle, but he can get the push and power to move the line of scrimmage back. Used to fighting double teams. Can stack the point. Generally comes out on third down in passing situations. Has a good power base and lower strength with knee bend/leverage to hold the point. Stout inline play strength that is necessary to play versus the run. Has the ability to control opponent when he uses his hands effectively. Can get through traffic with good agility and lateral quickness. Takes away the cut back lanes. Plays with intensity and closing speed. First round. (A-33 1/8, H-9 7/8, BP-44, 10-1.71). Originally drafted by Philadelphia.
