Draft Rewind 2011 – Pernell McPhee – Baltimore Ravens

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about PERNELL MCPHEE: Mississippi State, 6027 278 4.93. Two-year starter. Junior college transfer from Itawamba Community College (MS). Gives a solid effort every play. He hustles to the ball when he locates it. His instincts are questionable. He doesn’t seem to get “it” or have a nose for the ball. Gets himself in trouble at times by getting walled off. Plays right end in a four man front. Will stand up or play with his hand in the dirt. A developmental player who struggles to stack the run at the point of attack and is not an edge pass rusher. Will need to improve his functional strength to get some playing time. A backup type with inconsistent skills. In the Senior Bowl game he had a strip and forced fumble. 2010 stats: 35 tackles, 10 TFL, 2 sacks, 1 FF. Edge speed:left 2.09, right 2.34. OSR:24/ 26. Third/fourth round. (A-34 3/8, H-9 1/4, BP-20, 10-1.81).
