Draft Rewind 2014: Devonta Freeman, Atlanta Falcons

What Ourlads NFL Scouting Services said about DEVONTA FREEMAN leading up to the 2014 NFL Draft: Florida State, 5082, 206, 4.54. Junior entry. A three-year rotational back. Well built with a thick lower body for the position. Quick and strong. A shifty back who has good vision and cutting ability to squeeze into the second level of the defense. Follows his blockers and gets downhill in a hurry. Has the ability to break tackles. Good balance and body control. Above average flexibility. A natural pass catcher who can make the tough overhead catch on wheel routes. Caught six passes versus Maryland for 98 yards and a touchdown. Good run after catch skills. Played in a three-back rotation where he never had to carry the load himself. 2013 stats: 1016 yds, 5.9 ypc, 14 TD, 22 rec, 278 yds, 1 TD. OSR:20/36. Fourth/fifth round. (A-29 3/8, H-9 5/8, BP-DNP, SS-4.26).
