Mason Rudolph – QB – Oklahoma State

Fourth-year senior from Rock Hill, SC who will likely finish atop the program’s major career passing ranks. After finishing 2016 as the only player to throw for 4,000 yards with less than five interceptions, Rudolph is on track for similar numbers in 2017, if not even better. He has the traditional NFL body and makeup of an NFL starter. Tall, strong, and comfortable in the pocket. Very accurate all over the field that has the proper blend of touch and zip on his passes underneath. Consistently sets his receivers up for post-catch success, leading them into space and throwing them open. At least a part of Rudolph’s production can be attributed to easy throws, however. He rarely has to fit balls into tight windows, nor does he often make difficult reads and progressions. His learning curve in the NFL will be steeper than most. What coaches and GM’s will like most though, will be his ability to protect the ball, get it out fast and accurate, and show repeatable throwing mechanics in and out of pressure. Also a very good situational decision maker.
