Jeremy Maclin to the Chiefs

What?

WR Jeremy Maclin SIGNED by KC

Why?

The lack of wide receiver talent in KC is enough to make anyone cringe.  Not one regular season TD was caught by that group as a whole in 2014, an enormous rarity.  Maclin had a career year in 2014 but it was not just a product of the Chip Kelly system.  Maclin had success Andy Reid as well upon entering the league.  He is a sure route runner with reliable hands in traffic and very good after the catch movement ability.

What’s Next?

This signing takes down the level of need at WR entering the draft, but one player won’t change the landscape of this position on the depth chart.  KC needs to find a young talent, preferably early in their draft, to ensure this offense isn’t solely based on Jamaal Charles and the running game.
