C Rodney Hudson SIGNED by Oakland 

Why? 

As the Raiders try to once again claw their way out from the basement of the AFC West, they opted to make Hudson one of the highest paid centers in the league while at the same time poaching him from a division rival they are chasing after.  Hudson is undersized but very reliable and consistency against all kinds of defensive tackles.  OAK wants to avoid what happened to their QBs brother in the early 2000’s.  David Carr showed promise in his inaugural season but there needs to be dedication shown towards keeping him upright.  Hudson was the Chiefs top OL in 2014 and he will quickly become a leader for the Raiders’ group.

What’s Next?

With a ton of money to spend, the Raiders showed no hesitation in bringing in a player that may lack sex appeal, but will make this team better without a doubt.  Hudson is added to a group that played well in 2014 but needed a better presence at center.  This team has been spending their money wisely for a few years now and the dividends are coming.  This team is on the rise after all.
